Script – FumeFX Set New Output Folder

Version 1.01:

FFX_SetNewFolder.mzp

Install: Just Drag-and-Drop on a viewport or Run via the Maxscript menu

What the heck does it do you say?

Well one thing I find when running alot of test sims in FumeFX I find I like a particular simulation so I want to save the .fxd data. So there you go, this script simply is a one-click solution to setting your simulation output folder.

It does so in the format of date and time – Year-MonthDay-HourMinute. It even comes with its own nifty little icon, so you’ll never loose it :D

The script reads your default simulation path and creates a new folder by the name of your current scene then create a subfolder with the name Date/Time.

Like this:

- DefaultSimPath \ NameOfCurrentSceneFile \ DateTime \ NameOfSimGrid.fxd

Ah one-click that’s all :)
